In principle, no fees are charged for the reuse of documents.
However, recovery of marginal costs for the reproduction, provision and dissemination of documents, as well as for the anonymization of personal data and for measures to protect commercially confidential information may be permitted.
In addition, other costs may be taken into account for
- public entities that are required to generate revenue to cover a significant portion of the costs of performing their public functions;
- libraries (including university libraries), museums and archives;
- public enterprises.

- NSSO tailor made social security statistics
- Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium
