Communal administration - Political life: The Council of the CPAS The Council governs everything that is within the competence of the Public Centre for Social Action (CPAS), unless the law provides otherwise.Specify that the law sets out many provisions that fall exclusively within the competence of the Public Council for Social Action and that can therefore not be delegated to another body of the CPAS. Composition <br>The CPAS is administered by a social work council composed of: - 9 members for a population not exceeding 15,000 inhabitants - 11 members for a population of 15.001 to 50,000 inhabitants - 13 members for a population of 50,001 to 150,000 inhabitants - 15 members for a population of more than 150,000 inhabitants The seats on the Social Action Council are divided into political groups in proportion to the number of seats each political group enjoys in the municipal council following the last municipal elections. It should be noted that the functioning of the Council is governed by rules of procedure.
