This list shows the whole AMOs and MADOs active on the territory of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. An AMO is a service of Actions in an Open Environment, intended for young people under the age of 18 (or even under 22 years of age for some AMOs). It carries out actions of social and educational prevention in a given territory and in the absence of any administrative or judicial mandate. The aim of these actions is to promote the development and empowerment of young people in their social environment and in their living environment. Very young, as well as his family or his familiars, can call on his services. Beneficiaries may terminate their participation at any time. The actions of AMOs may be individual (accompaniment, mediation, guidance, legal aid, etc.) or collective (development of actions with young people, prevention and awareness raising, etc.). AMOs can also bring out, enhance and relay the word of young people, their families and their familiars. In addition to all these missions, 24/7 AMOs welcome, day as day at night, any young person in difficulty as well as his family or his familiars. They ensure a continuous presence, a telephone helpline and a place accessible primarily to young people, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These AMOs also offer a night reception (one night, renewable once) for young people from under 18 years of age, if any other solution proves impracticable or inappropriate. The ‘Maisons de l’Adolescent’ (MADO) are services whose main mission to federate in one place the skills of partners various professionals, in order to organise a comprehensive response and approach to difficulties faced by adolescents, their families and family members. They carry out preventive actions in a defined territory, outside any administrative or judicial mandate. They guarantee the anonymity of people who call on them. The MADOs welcome young people between 11 and 22 years old. The actions carried out may be individual (response to a demand, reorientation, etc.) or collective. The speakers of the MADOs are subject to professional secrecy. Adherence of young people, their families and familiar with the proposed actions is free; They can put an end to it. at any time. Finally, in addition to the AMOs and MADOs, four services implement special educational projects (PEPs) for young people who request them in a non-mandated setting. The Walloon Anti-Poverty Network offers individual and collective prevention actions. The PEP Abaka can accommodate and accommodate young people on a short-term basis, 24 hours a day. PEPs can also offer emancipatory activities such as organising citizens’ projects (Solidarity) or supporting young people in national or international mobility projects (Dynamo International).
