Kilometres of track equipped with Railpads 2.0

In 2017, Infrabel launched its new Railpad 2.0 as a European premiere. It is a small rubber cushion placed between concrete rails and sleepers that reduces train noise pollution by 3 decibels, which is equivalent to half the noise pollution caused by vibrations when passing trains.This dataset shows the additional number of km of tracks equipped with Railpads 2.0 each year, as well as the total number of km of tracks equipped on the Infrabel network.
