Number of kilometres of main tracks, proximity tracks and branch lines and number of railcars per zone.Main tracks are the tracks of lines bearing a line number.Proximity tracks are the tracks used for the branching of passenger and/or freight trains from a main track. Sidings include tracks in stations (passengers, trainers and others) intended for normal manoeuvring, turning or transit movements.Shippings are combinations of sets of tabs, switches and crossings that make it possible to connect or cross routes.The Infrabel network is managed in 5 zones: Centre, North-East, North-West, South-East, South-West. High-speed lines (LGV) are measured separately.
