ARES - Basin reference system for vocational education and training (EFE)

The Education Qualifying-Employment Training (EFE) pool repository contains the different Education Qualifying-Employment Training (EFE) pools with the associated postal codes and NSIs. It takes over the situation before and after 01/01/2019 to take account of changes in INS codes and district codes (more information on the Statbel website). In total, there are 10 basins: 9 on the territory of Wallonia and 1 in Brussels. The basins are determined on a geographical basis by the municipalities of which they are composed. This composition is determined by Article 3 of the EFE Co-operation Agreement (see link below). For each municipality, all localities are indicated. The basins are made up of representatives of: FOREM/ACTIRIS, IFAPME/SFPME/EFPME, EFT/OISP/FEBISP, Technical and Vocational Education, Social Promotion Education, and the General Administration of Education and Scientific Research (see Chapter III of the Agreement for further details). • Definition of a basin A Bassin Enseignement qualifiant - Formation - Emploi (EFE) is an area geographically demarcated on the territory of the French-speaking region or corresponding to that of the bilingual region of Brussels-Capital in order to promote the coherence of offers as well as the development of cross-policies in vocational training, qualifying education, employment and integration and to ensure synergies between social partners and local actors in qualifying education, vocational training, employment and integration.
