The Religious Service collects data on all active religious communities in Antwerp. This is a condition for the realization of the administrative agreement in which the city has an integral policy around location, permit and management of prayer rooms with attention to religious freedoms but also for the impact on the neighborhood and local residents. Fire safety, noise, mobility and spatial safety are important criteria. The aim of this central overview is, on the one hand, to implement internal policies regarding publicly accessible infrastructure, and, on the other hand, to make this information accessible to an external audience. Interested people can find out for themselves who the religious communities active in their city or neighborhood are. The gis layer contains information about address, type (Roman Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Islamic,...), subtype (withdrawal, denomination or nationality), non-profit organization number, website and language worship.
