Low deficit zone of regular childcare for 0 to 3 year olds recognized by Child and Family or with a certificate of supervision at neighborhood level (400m and 5 min walk). These are the recognized nurseries, independent nurseries, mini-crèches and independent childminders and childminders affiliated with DVO (Service for Childminders). The deficit zone is the residential area that represents the inverse of the given range zone. This data layer is updated annually in January, provided that the facility is managed and updated annually by the relevant sector/service. The facility has a certain range based on walking distance, taking into account important barriers (water, ring, highway, rail, etc.) and safe crossings for vulnerable road users (tunnels, bridges, pedestrian crossings with traffic lights). A neighborhood and neighborhood facility gets a walking distance of respectively 400 meters and 800 meters (respectively 5 and 10 min walk). Facilities that function on district (district or postcode) have a range of 1600 meters (20 min walking or 8 min cycling). In combination with the deficit zone, this layer gives an idea of the spatial distribution of this facility. This allows the policy to plan a balanced spatial distribution of the facility based on walking distance.
