THEATER OVERVIEW

Summary: Location and documentation of the theatres within the territory of the city of Antwerp. The theatres are the infrastructure where mainly theatrical performances can take place. Purpose: The geo-layer shows the exact location of the theatres and can be used in function of spatial analyses in combination with other information: distribution, environmental analyses, accessibility. The theatres are divided according to the following subtype: theatre, (the theatre buildings where, in addition to plays, other cultural disciplines take place (dance, music) and multi (multidisciplinary, where all cultural disciplines can take place (theatre, dance and music). In reality, the offer is wider and also consists of smaller, non-subsidized theaters, more spread across the districts. Creation: The inventory was made on the basis of the data from the Cultural Service and the website of the city of Antwerp. The address fields were used to link the settings to the Large-scale base map. Capa_Zit is the maximum seating capacity and Capa_Staan is the maximum standing capacity of the facility.
