Zone 30

Summary: The map "zone 30 areas" locates zone 30 areas in Antwerp and the new areas now proposed. On the basis of whether or not more detailed plans, college closures and/or municipal council decisions were available, the zones concerned were registered on a large scale. Purpose: The geo-layer gives an indication of the zone 30 areas and the areas in preparation and can be used in function of spatial analyses in combination with other information: safety, distribution, environmental analyses, quality of living, ... Creation: In collaboration with the 'traffic and mobility' department of the Urban Development Company, the zone 30 areas were drawn on a large scale. It looked not only at the specific zones, but also at the status of the zone concerned and the corresponding decision-making. This data is important for the interpretation and use of the data. Only those zones which have been granted 'approved' status can be regarded as formally approved zones 30 in this respect, since they have also been approved by the Ministry concerned.
