These are: - undeveloped area (outdoor space) of the plot in m2 (according to GRB) - % undeveloped area (outdoor space) compared to the total area of the plot (according to GRB) . According to the current Construction Code, at least 20% of the surface of the plot must be undeveloped. This is also classified according to function of the Land Registry: apartment building, house, business (storage, industry, commercial and office building) and others (often community facilities). - green or unpaved area of the parcel in m2 (according to ortho photo ) - % of the green or unpaved area compared to the total area of the parcel . According to the current Building Code, a maximum of 20 m2 of the undeveloped area of the plot may be paved, for gardens up to 60 m2. This is the green open area of the plot, so without the buildings (according to GRB- main and outbuildings), either the unpaved, green outdoor space or garden (front and back of the plots) (according to Groenkaart Vlaanderen). - area high green (>3m) or tree canopy cover in the plot (according to ortho photo ) , this says something about the shade and can also fall on the roofs - % of the high green (>3m) compared to the total area of the plot It concerns not only the residential plots, but also the plots with economic, public functions (other) and even undeveloped plots (such as all parks except Stadspark and Harmoniepark, which are not plots and are therefore registered as public domain). This green map is a grid (1m resolution) of segmentation classification of the summer flight orthophotos commissioned by the Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB) with the classes ‘Not green’, ‘Agriculture’, ‘Low Green’ (less than 3m) and ‘High Green’ (more than 3m).
