Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders - Current energy production wind turbines

This map layer is part of the Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders. The data comes from the database of the urban planning permit applications for wind turbines of the Department of Space Flanders. It selected the licensed wind turbines that have already been effectively built (situation January 2016). For turbines with a power > 300 kW, production is estimated by means of a full load hour chart that takes into account the difference in wind speeds throughout Flanders. For the small-scale wind turbines (< 300 kW), one Flemish code is used that depends on the shaft height. We limit ourselves to wind turbines on land. The results are presented here at the level of the statistical sectors. The figures per municipality can also be consulted in the attached table.
