Temporarily wet areas have a highly fluctuating groundwater table. They can be very wet during and after periods with a lot of precipitation surplus. Temporary wet areas are often located in the upper capillaries of the water system. By retaining the water in these zones, the water can still infiltrate deeper aquifers. These zones therefore indicate how important it is to retain water. These areas should be protected from construction. Also here it is best not to drain.
