Territories with right of pre-emption, VEN and IVON, 21 June 2016

Areas with right of pre-emption, Flemish Ecological Network and Integral Connection and Support Network: Overview of the areas in which a pre-emption right has been established in implementation of Article 37, §1, 1° and 3° of the Decree of 21 October 1997 on nature conservation and the natural environment (Belgian Official Gazette 10/01/1998).The Flemish Ecological Network (VEN) comprises the Large Units Nature (GEN) and the Large Units Nature in Development (GENO). With the exception of immovable property that has been excluded by the Flemish Government, a Flemish pre-emption right has been established in the areas of the VEN.The Integral Connection and Support Network (IVON) comprises the Nature Weaving Areas (NVWG) and the Nature Connection Areas (NVBG). The Flemish Government may demarcate a perimeter within which a Flemish pre-emptive right has been established within the green and forest areas and the forest expansion areas and the zoning areas similar to all these areas, depending on the plans of construction or the spatial implementation plans in force in the spatial planning, which are located within the IVON.
