Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders - Additional potential energy production from hydropower - REV2030 scenario

This map layer is part of the Renewable Energy Atlas Flanders. ‘In the ‘Space for Energy Flanders 2030’ scenario (REV2030), we only look at the additional potential on the remaining locks of the Albert Canal. For existing mill sites and the other unused locks, we assume that no additional potential will be realized. In order to estimate the potential, we base ourselves on the average potential on locks in Limburg from the 1996 study on the inventory of the hydropower potential of the non-profit association TSAP. The results are presented per municipality. The figures per municipality can also be consulted in the attached table."
