Protected areas ifv extraction of drinking water from surface and groundwater, status 22/03/2016

This stock gives an overview of the protected areas ifv extraction of drinking water from surface water and groundwater as reported to the European Commission in implementation of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD) 2000/60/EC. In implementation of Article 1.7.6.7 1°, a register must be established of the surface water bodies and groundwater bodies designated for the abstraction of water intended for human consumption and the water bodies intended for that future use, including the protection zones for those surface water bodies and groundwater bodies. Pursuant to Article 1.7.6.3, this register must be displayed on a map. This map layer contains the register for the protected drinking water areas.
