Trees along the numbered roads managed by AWV

Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer

Trees are submeter-accurate point locations that represent each inventoried tree along the numbered roads. The numbered roads are in the management of the Roads and Traffic Agency. The trees can be single trees as well as rows of trees. A row of trees can be an ascending row of trees, this is a planting in line with ascending trees, of approximately equal age, at a regular planting distance depending on the growth style of the tree species and the intended end image. Or a shape tree row: Planting in line with shape trees, of approximately equal age, at a regular planting distance, depending on the intended end image. Depending on the type of shape tree (knot tree, slate tree, kandelaber, shaved tree) and the intended end image, the management is carried out periodically. In the case of single trees, tall, low-stemmed and multi-stemmed trees are distinguished as ascending trees. Single shape trees are: Bun trees, slate trees, candelabras and shaved trees.
