Generalisation of the Belgian soil map (1: 20 000). Merging soil mapping units into zones characterised by soil, relief and hydrological landscape features, which determine the intrinsic suitability of the area. Sensitivities and vulnerabilities are linked to the generated zoning units, as well as an indication of seepage/infiltration. The "substantive legend" differs according to the region. The information is the result of the study "Carrying out the Physical System and Spatial Structures in Flanders at scale 1: 50 000" (Foundation for Rural Policy) in 1994, commissioned by the Flemish Land Agency.
