A beneficiary of the increased intervention (BIM) is a person who receives a higher reimbursement for his or her healthcare, mainly due to a precarious situation. In addition to the reduction in healthcare costs, the beneficiaries of the increased intervention are entitled to other benefits, including reductions in public transport and social tariffs for energy. Being a beneficiary of BIM therefore generally indicates a precarious situation. This indicator is available by age group and sex. This is one of the only poverty indicators that is also available for minors. Dependent children of a beneficiary of the increased assistance are also eligible. These indicators are also available by statistical sector on the Altas de l'"[\2](\1)" (Demography and social rights/beneficiary population/enhanced right to intervention)
