Macro-scale patterns

Infiltration-torch gradient in a gradient of gray-white > brown > green > yellow > blue. The blue zones are possible seepage zones and the yellow zones are transitional zones. All green-brown and grey-white zones are infiltration areas on a large scale (1 to 20 km). The groundwater supply in the blue zones is permanently present and relatively stable. Due to the permanent wet conditions, peat formation is possible.
