The Provisional Municipal Borders Reference File contains information on the demarcations of the territory of the administrative units in the Flemish Region: Municipalities, administrative districts, provinces and the Flemish Region. Furthermore, this dataset contains meta-information about the origin of the geometry of the municipal boundaries. The preliminary municipal boundaries reference file serves as a geometric and object reference for the administrative divisions in Flanders. The best available information is used to build up the geometry of the municipal boundaries.
