DSI - Special Plans of Construction - Overprinting

Vlaams Planbureau voor Omgeving

This dataset contains the digital vector version of all plan elements - of the overprint type - of the special plans of construction. A planning element is an object by which the relevant government reflects the scope of (part of) the spatial option it has taken on the basis of certain urban planning regulations on the graphic plan, if it deems it necessary. This object is conceptually always traceable to a plane, line or point, to which a certain legend symbol has been assigned. To ensure the link between a ‘site’ and the ‘full set of requirements applicable at that site’, it is necessary to unravel a plan in some complementary geodata layers in vector format. In this way we obtain an unambiguous link between prescriptive texts and their associated planning elements. Pressure relief surface requirements are a detailing of, or an additional condition on, a ground plane, whether the latter is part of an earlier plan or the same plan. In practice, this means that for the areas in question, the overpressure requirements must still be read together with one or more underlying requirements (from an older plan or from the same plan), because they do not replace the underlying ground plane requirements. The planning elements are available in this dataset insofar as they have already been uploaded by the relevant municipal authority, which owns the data and is responsible for the content.
