Pressure on aquatic life through crop protection (Seq)

The indicator ‘Pressure on aquatic life through plant protection’ weighs the annual sales of active substance per plant protection product according to toxicity to aquatic organisms and residence time in the environment, and is expressed as the sum of the distribution equivalents (?Seq). The indicator is therefore a measure of the risks to aquatic life associated with the use of plant protection products. The Seq indicator was determined for the period 1990-2010.
