Evolution of Pesticides in Water Soils

Vlaamse Milieumaatschappij

Many organochlorine pesticides (usually insecticides) tend to bind to suspended particles in the water column. When these particles settle, the pollutants attached to them end up in the waterbed. They can stay there for a long time. The results of the measurements shall be classified into quality classes on the basis of the comparison with the reference value for the whole of the OCPs.
