Share of subsidised reception places in the total

Early childhood care facilities authorised by the NEB may or may not be subsidised (depending on a set of criteria). In subsidised care settings, the parents’ financial contribution is fixed on the basis of a scale (‘scales’) which depends on the parents’ income. Non-subsidised care settings freely determine the financial participation of parents (whether or not their financial possibilities are taken into account). The number and share of subsidised reception places in the entity’s total places provides a nuance to the total number of places available in the entity.
