Share of secondary school pupils attending a school in their municipality of residence: the ratio between, on the one hand, the number of pupils domiciled in the municipality and enrolled in an educational establishment in that municipality and, on the other hand, the number of pupils domiciled in the municipality and enrolled in education organised or subsidised by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the German-speaking Community or the Flemish Community (regardless of their municipality of schooling). Pupils attending a private school or a school abroad are not taken into account. The data are taken from the Counting database on 15 January of the school year considered for the FWB, and from the teaching database of the German-speaking Community. This report is interpreted in terms of school mobility. It is 100% if all the pupils domiciled in the entity are enrolled in an establishment in their commune of domicile. The lower it is, the higher the share of pupils who ‘leave’ their commune of residence to follow an education.
