The housing indicators derived from the Census are constructed from the crossing of several databases (the national register, the previous census carried out by survey of the entire population in 2001, the cadastre, etc.). The accommodation was classified as follows: 1. Collective housing 2. Non-classic accommodation (e.g. huts, caravans, mills...) 3. Empty conventional housing (this group includes all conventional housing where no one is domiciled, which corresponds to very different realities: temporarily unoccupied housing, housing under construction, abandoned housing, second residence, housing occupied by people who do not live there as students, etc.) 4. Traditional owner-occupied housing (as soon as one of the inhabitants has a right of ownership over the housing, even partial or indirect (i.e. through a company of which he is a director), the housing is considered to be owner-occupied. 5. Classical housing occupied by a tenant and owned by a social housing company (the latter are identified by the NACE code of the crossroads bank of companies, more precisely by the presence of the code "68,202 Rental and operation of social housing"). 6. Conventional housing occupied by a tenant and owned by another public company (the latter are identified by the NACE code of the crossroads bank of enterprises, more precisely by the presence of the code O "Public administration" or P "Education") 7. Classic dwelling occupied by a tenant and whose owner is an individual 8. Conventional housing occupied by a tenant and owned by a private company 9. Occupied conventional dwelling with unknown occupation status It should be noted that tenant households are identified by the fact that no inhabitant has a property right over housing. Thus, in these data households occupying accommodation free of charge (e.g. office accommodation or accommodation provided by relatives) are included as tenants, but these situations are infrequent. Some indicators of the theme are also available by statistical sectors on the website of the "[\2](\1)". Infra-municipal data are not yet available for 2021.
