The area of administrative entities corresponds to the geometric measurement of the surface of planet Earth included within the administrative boundaries, according to a system of geographical projection. In Belgium, since 01/01/2018, the authentic source of administrative boundaries is the FPS Finance/GDP via its CadGIS database which allows to calculate the area of administrative entities.
