Total GHG emissions per gas (ETS and non-ESR)

Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by almost 2% in 2019 (compared to 2018).The total greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 11.5% in the period 1990-2019.The European emissions trading system regulates more than 40% of Flemish greenhouse gas emissions.Emissions not covered by the emissions trading system decreased only slightly in the period 2013-2019.The greenhouse gases are CO2, CH4 (methane), N2O (laughing gas) and fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases: HFCs, PFCs, SF6 and NF3)
