Total provision level - state 2022

This map shows, for each location of 1ha in the Flemish and Brussels-Capital Regions, the total level of facilities on a scale from 0 to 1, as a result of the calculation of the proximity (according to defined parameters) of facilities of the following 3 types: basic supply, regional supply, metropolitan supply, for reference year 2022. The calculation is based on the location of the individual facilities and it is then determined which ha-cells are located within walking or cycling distance of the totality of the facilities. In several steps, (1) the facilities are aggregated into a content-technically processable set, (2) weighed according to their number in the vicinity, and (3) distance-weighted summed. A total of 50 different aggregated facilities are mapped, divided into four classes: education, culture and sport, care and housing support services. The facilities in Brussels were supplemented, if possible, by information from the Territorial Development Agency (ATO, 2010).
